Tour Itinerary
Day 1:- Arrival Leh
Upon your arrival at the summit of the world with Over The Top Holidays, you will be warmly traditionally greeted by our representative at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. Following this, you will be escorted to your hotel in a sanitized vehicle. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Complete the check-in process at the hotel and settle in for an overnight stay.
Day 2:- Leh Local Sightseeing
Today Morning After breakfast Proceed to Leh Local sightseeing Shanti Stupa. A beautiful and magnificent Tibetan structure located in Chandspa at a distance of merely 5 km from Leh lies the famous Shanti Stupa, known for its architectural beauty. Perched atop a hill at the height of 11,840 feet, the beautiful white dome Dedicated to Buddha, helps you witness awe-striking views of the entire city of Leh drawing every tourist’s attention on their visit to Leh-Ladakh. Encircled by the beautiful ranges of snow-capped mountains, Shanti Stupa offers the most enchanting views on full moon nights. Shanti Stupa – the Peace Pillar was built to celebrate the completion of 2500 years of Buddhism and promoting world peace and was inaugurated by his holiness The Dalai Lama in 1985 as a ‘Peace Sect’ of the Japanese Buddhist Organization. The gilt panels on the white dome depict the life stories of Buddha.
Leh Palace Also known as ‘Llachen Palkhar’, Leh palace is a royal palace of King Dynasties in Leh. The palace boasts of being the major landmark of Leh also meaning ‘The Khar’. It is one of the tallest buildings of its time to offer the most enthralling views of the city of Leh, the picturesque mountain views from the top. This magnificent palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century for King and his family as its former residents before the Kashmiri Invasions during the 19th century.
Hall of Fame Situated at a distance of about 4 km from Leh, the Hall of Fame is built by Indian Army in memory of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Indo- Pak war while fighting for India at the same time reminding you of the great sacrifices they make to ensures your safety. The museum consists of weapons used during Kargil War and seized arms and ammunition of the Pakistan Army, pictures depicting the hard life our soldiers go through while at Siachen, the heating of food they eat using Hexamycin tablets, leaving you out with great respect for the soldiers who despite of all the rough circumstances train and fight with great strength for us to go on smoothly with our lives. Another section of the Museum depicts the pictures of the Kargil War, and the photographs of all those soldiers who lost their lives on the “Lest We Forget” wall. The ground floor of the Museum depicts the lifestyle, history, and culture of Ladakh and its people.
A souvenir shop inside the premises has t-shirts, mugs, caps, original Pashmina Shawls, and other wood crafts for you to purchase. After that visit Magnetic Hills & Zanskar Indus Sangam. One of the most beautiful places. After that visit Leh Main Market On your tour to Ladakh, you can visit the colorful market of Leh for beautiful trinkets and souvenirs. Evening time back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3:- Leh – Nubra Valley Via Khardung-la Pass {160 Km/ 5 – 6 Hours}
After breakfast in the hotel, prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure. The journey from Leh to Nubra falls on a very scenic route. Known as the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys, the Khardung-La pass is the world’s highest motorable road. As you descend from Khardung-la, experience the white dunes in Nubra and enjoy a ride the double-humped. Also, enjoy the most loved snack – Maggi at the Khardungla Café all season. Later check-in for the camping & Overnight stays at the campsite in Nubra Valley. Later enjoy camping at the bonfire under the sky full of stars.
Day 4:- Nubra Valley – Turtuk Village {160km} {4 – 5 Hours}
The morning after Breakfast Proceed to Turtuk Village. On the way you can visit hunder, odmarro, Bogdang Turtuk is known for its varieties of fruits, especially apricots. Turtuk was under Pakistani control until the war of 1971 when the Indian Army captured the village. It’s the last outpost of India’s Ladakh. It is also one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier.
Day 5:- Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake Via Agham – Shyok {140 Km/ 4 – 5 Hours}
The lake is a major attraction of the region and is amongst the highest-altitude saline water lakes in the world. In the morning after breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake on the Indo-China border. Featured in movies like 3-idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, enjoy the place in Bollywood style and take a picture with famous. Enjoy the scenic beauty with the view of the Shyok River on one side and the mountains on another side. changes colors from shades of blue to green to red. Later check in for the camping & Overnight stays at a campsite near Pangong Lake.
Day 6:- Pangong Lake – Leh {160 Km/ 5 – 6 Hours}
Wake up in the morning to the beautiful Pangong Lake view. The journey from Pangong Lake back to Leh takes you via Chang La, a mountain pass situated at an altitude of 17,590 feet (5360 meters). Along the way, pay a visit to the Druk White Lotus School, which shot to fame with the movie ‘3 Idiots’ as the site where the last scene was shot. visit Thiksey Monastery housing several stupas, statues, and other Buddhist artifacts in its 12-story structure. Known to be the largest Tibetan monastery in Ladakh. Reach Leh and enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.
Day 7:- Leh Airport Drop
After breakfast, we will drop you at the airport to take your flight out of Leh. Fly out of Leh And it’s already time to say goodbye to your fellow travelers and this magical land.
